The website code is in a GitLab repository and is meant to be open source; the technical documentation is also there. The repository and the documentation, still private, will be made public in the near future.

The website is made with the open-source web framework Django. It relies on a relational database using the open-source database management system PostgreSQL. Some Python packages, listed in the project requirements inside the repository, as well as JavaScript libraries and other frameworks are also used:

- Leaflet and Leaflet.markecluster plugin

- Verovio

Updating

Database updates are made by the members of the RicercarLab programme team, as well as its partners and collaborators. If you notice something missing or wrong regarding the musicological data, you can contact Hyacinthe Belliot.

The website maintenance is made by Suzy Piat and Sarra Ferjani. You can contact them if you notice a problem regarding the website.

Legislation

In application of the law of 11 March 1957 (art. 41) and the intellectual property code of 1 July 1992, any partial or total reproduction for collective use is strictly forbidden without authorisation from the RicercarLab programme.

The logos, visuals and brands on this site are the property of their respective owners.

This site may have been linked to other sites via hyperlinks. The RicercarLab programme declines all responsibility for the information presented on these other sites.

The use of the RicercarDataLab site is governed by French law.

Personal data and nominative information

As part of its activities, the RicercarLab programme collects and processes personal data necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by the programme. This data is stored in the site RicercarDataLab database on a server of the University of Tours (see "Hosting" above). This data is intended for use by members of the RicercarLab programme team. It is kept for as long as the RicercarLab programme continues its missions.

For users with an account

Data is collected and processed for account management and access to certain services. Some information is mandatory in order to be able to create an account on the site; if you refuse to provide this mandatory information, the account cannot be created and you cannot access certain services. Some optional information can then be entered by the user.

This information is:
- username (mandatory)
- password (mandatory)
- last name (optional)
- first name (optional)
- e-mail address (optional)
- date and time the account was created (filled in automatically)
- date and time of the last connection (filled in automatically)

For research project collaborators

Data is collected and processed for the purpose of disseminating information on the site. This information has been provided to the RicercarLab programme in the past, for research projects. Some information is mandatory, while other information is optional. If a collaborator refuses to provide the mandatory information, that collaborator can no longer be mentioned on the site and their contribution to the research projects will no longer be visible.

This information is:
- last name (mandatory)
- first name (mandatory)
- initials (optional)
- affiliated institution (optional)
- e-mail address (optional)


In accordance with European Regulation No. 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and with Law No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on data processing, files and freedoms, you have the following rights:
- request access to your data
- ask for your data to be rectified if it is inaccurate
- request the portability of your data
- request the deletion of your data
- object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of your data

Cookies

Certains functions of this site rely on the use of cookies. Your consent regarding their use is not required since only necessary cookies, needed for the site to function properly, are deposited.

- csrftoken (retention: 12 months): protection against Cross Site Request Forgeries (CSRF) attacks
- django_language (retention: expires at browser close): language choice made by the user
- if the user is logged-in, sessionid (retention: 2 weeks): maintaining user authentication when browsing the site

The audience measurement tool used on the site is configured so as not to deposit tracking cookies; certain cookies required for its proper operation may nevertheless be deposited:
- matomo_ignore (retention: 30 years): deposited when the user chooses not to be included in data collection (cf. "Audience measurement" below)
- matomo_sessid (retention: 14 days): protection against Cross Site Request Forgeries (CSRF) attacks, deposited if the user has chosen not to be included in data collection (cf. "Audience measurement" below)
- mtm_consent and mtm_consent_removed (retention: 30 years): deposited according to the choice made by the user regarding their inclusion in data collection (cf. "Audience measurement" below)
- _pk_testcookie (retention: none): used to determine whether the browser supports cookies, deleted directly after creation

Audience measurement

The RicercarDataLab website uses the open-source web analytics application Matomo. The data collection regarding the site traffic is made without the use of tracking cookies.

Your consent regarding the data collection is not required since the collected data:
- contain no personal data
- is only used for analysis and no other purpose
- is not shared or connected with data from other websites
